Chesterfield Little League (CLL) is part of District 5 in Virginia, along with 11 other leagues. Each year, our district hosts an All-Stars District Tournament for both baseball and softball. The district can field teams in the divisions listed below, although CLL may not enter a team in every division each year. Participation depends on the number of players willing and able to compete. Players must have played on a CLL spring team to be eligible for tournament play.

District winners will have the opportunity to compete at the State Tournament. You can check the Virginia State Little League website for up-to-date information.

The winners of the 8/9/10 and 9/10/11 state divisions will have the chance to compete at the Tournament of State Champions.

Teams in the Major division and above may advance to the Regional Tournament and potentially to the Little League World Series.

Players are expected to commit to the team for the entire duration of the tournament, from Districts until the team is eliminated.

Players for district teams are chosen through coach nominations, typically in May. Parents must then confirm their child’s commitment to the team for the full season, pay the registration fee, and submit the required paperwork.

Required Paperwork for New Players:

Original Birth Certificate: (to be returned after verification by district staff)
Player Verification Form: Tournament Player Verification Form (League ID: 3560505)
School Enrollment Form: (highly recommended): School Enrollment Form 

OR

Three forms of residency verification (one from each category listed on the Tournament Player Verification Form). Residency documents must be dated or enforced between February 1 of the previous year and February 1 of the current year.

Medical Release Form: Medical Release Form

Returning District Players:

Players who have previously played on a District team (not an Invitational team) and have a completed player packet may only need to submit the Medical Release Form.
