Intermediate (50/70) 11–13-Year Baseball
Overview:
Designed for advanced players League Ages 11–12 and 13-year-olds who are not ready for full-sized Junior/Senior fields.
Field dimensions: 50’ mound, 70’ bases
Rules: Leading, stealing, balks, infield fly, and other standard baseball rules apply
Season
Games
10–12 regular season games (6–8 in Fall)
Weekday games generally start 7:30–7:45 PM
Saturday games may be day or night
Game length: No new inning after 2 hours
Playoffs: Tournament at the end of the regular season
Makeup games may be scheduled Sunday afternoons/evenings (after 1 PM)
This division may participate in interleague games with other local Little Leagues

Jerseys include names (Spring only) and numbers
Metal spikes permitted (rubber cleats recommended on portable mound at home fields)

50/70 Baseball FAQs
Q: Do you keep score and are there umpires?
A: Yes. Every manager maintains a scorebook. Standings determine the regular-season winner and playoff games. Home plate umpire provided.
Q: What size field do they play on?
A: Bases 70’ apart, pitcher mound 50’ from home plate, regulation Little League field.
Q: Can my child play on a team with friends?
A: Only if drafted onto that team. Players’ skills are evaluated in a skills assessment, followed by a draft. Children may be moved to the Major division based on skill level. Placement is designed to be competitive and appropriate.
Q: Can I manage or coach a team?
A: Yes, if positions are available. Managers complete an online application. Coaches indicate interest on registration. All approvals required by Chesterfield Little League Board of Directors.
Q: Will my child play all the time?
A: No. No player sits twice until all have sat once.
Q: What are the volunteer requirements?
A: CLL is all-volunteer. Opportunities include registration, team parenting, opening night, post-season tournaments, concessions, and more.
