Coach Pitch – Tee Ball (Tee Ball 2) (5–6-Year-Olds)
Eligibility:
Gameplay:
Players attempt to hit from a coach each at-bat.
If they miss 5 pitches, they complete the at-bat from a tee.
Players build on development from Tee Ball 1 and begin learning base running concepts.
Season
Games
Each team plays 10–12 games per season (6–8 games in Fall).
Weekday games typically start at 6 PM.
Saturday games generally scheduled between 9 AM – 5 PM.
Game length: Approximately 1 hour
Practice
Uniforms
CLL provides jersey, hat, and spring pants.
Spring jerseys include names and numbers; Fall jerseys have numbers only.
Parents must provide athletic shoes. Rubber cleats are optional.

Q: Do you keep score and are there umpires?
A: No. Games are self-umpired by volunteer managers and coaches. The focus is on teaching fundamentals.
Q: Can I manage or coach a team?
A: Yes, if positions are available. Managers must complete an online application. To serve as a coach, indicate this on your child’s spring registration. All managers and coaches require approval from the Chesterfield Little League Board of Directors.
Q: What kind of baseball is used?
A: A soft-core baseball is used to prevent injury and provide a safe learning environment.
Q: Will my child get to play all the time?
A: Yes. All players will play on the field defensively and bat each inning.
