Welcome to Chesterfield Little League (CLL)!

Founded in 1988, Chesterfield Little League was established to provide a safe, fun, and competitive environment for the youth in our community to play baseball and softball. Our mission is to help young athletes grow into strong, community-minded individuals. Since our founding, we have expanded to support over 800 baseball players and an outstanding softball program with more than 200 additional players. Our program is open to players as young as 3 (must turn 4 by August 31 of the current year) up to age 16.

We welcome athletes who live or attend school along the Hull Street Corridor and surrounding areas (please see our boundary map for more details). Most of our games are held at either the Manchester High School Complex or Horner Park Complex. Our older baseball and softball divisions have the opportunity to compete against other Little League teams in our district.

Seasons

Spring Season: Runs from early March to early June, with an average of at least 12 games.

Fall Season: Begins in mid-August and extends through early November.

Chesterfield Little League is committed to competitive but fair play. Our Spring Season is considered competitive, featuring playoffs for most divisions and the opportunity to participate in All-Star tournaments. Each spring, we conduct a player draft to evenly distribute talent among teams. Fall Ball, on the other hand, is instructional and focuses on player development, with teams assigned by the CLL Board. All players are included in the batting order, and we have fair play rules to ensure everyone receives equal playing time. We invest in pre-season coach training to ensure your child receives quality instruction during practices and games. Our 30+ board members volunteer their time throughout the year to make both our spring and fall seasons a success. We also strive to have board members present at every game complex to ensure smooth operations.

Special Events

We also love to have fun! Our Spring Season kicks off with Opening Day, which features a player parade showcasing all teams, from T-ball to Senior divisions, followed by a big celebration. Throughout the season, we recognize players for hitting home runs, pitching no-hitters, or achieving perfect games.

Post-Season

Post-season play extends into the summer, with teams selected through a nomination process based on players' performances throughout the season. Players ages 8-16 are eligible for District All-Stars. Successful teams have the chance to advance to State competitions, then Regionals, and possibly the ultimate goal—the Little League World Series!

Welcome to our CLL family—we can’t wait to see you on the field!
